Understand what ATS-friendly means

ATS-friendly means the document can be parsed reliably and connects your real experience to the requirements of the role.

Use familiar headings, selectable text, clear dates, and a predictable chronology. Decorative complexity should never make skills or experience harder to read.

An applicant tracking system supports a hiring workflow; it is not the final reader. The CV still needs enough context and evidence for a recruiter and hiring manager.

Use job-description keywords as evidence labels

Use relevant terminology where it accurately describes your work, rather than copying the job description into every section.

Match established role names, tools, methods, and skills when they are true. Then support them with an example, responsibility, or result that a person can evaluate.

Keyword repetition cannot repair a weak fit. It can also make the document harder to trust when the language is disconnected from the candidate's record.

Finish with human review

Check the parsed content, factual accuracy, role relevance, and reading flow before submitting the CV.

AI can help identify gaps or improve clarity, but the candidate remains responsible for every claim, date, credential, and outcome in the final document.
